# Team and roles

## The three roles

| Role | Access |
| --- | --- |
| **Owner** | Full control, including billing and topping up credits. A workspace can have several owners. |
| **Admin** | Configuration and operations: agent, channels, products, campaigns, conversations. No billing access. |
| **Member** | Working conversations and tickets. This is the default role on invitation. |

> **How it works in practice** — invitees join the workspace as a **Member**. You promote them to Admin once they have joined, so you do not pick the role at the moment of invitation but just after.

## Seats

The number of seats depends on your plan — see [Credits and billing](https://support.unifunl.io/en/help/account-billing/credits-and-billing). When every seat is taken, the counter says so and the **Send Invite** button is disabled.

> **Plan ahead** — if you are about to onboard three colleagues, check your seat count *before* you start. Otherwise the invitation fails with no explanation beyond a greyed-out button.

## What each role actually sees

Roles change the navigation, not just permissions:

- **Automations** and **AI Center** are admin and owner only, so a member never sees them in the sidebar.
- **Billing** is the one owner-only page. Admins and members see a restricted-access message.
- Inbox, Orders, Support, Leads, Channels, Integrations and Profile are open to every role.

A member who opens a page they cannot access is sent back to the inbox rather than shown an error.

## FAQ and troubleshooting

### Does everyone on the team have access to everything?

No. Each member has a role that grants access to specific parts of the platform. Only the **Owner** reaches billing.

### The Send Invite button is greyed out

Every seat on your plan is in use. Upgrade the plan, or remove someone who no longer needs access.

### I cannot set someone as Admin when inviting them

That is expected. They join as a Member, and you promote them once they have accepted.
