Unifunl reads your whole PrestaShop catalogue on a schedule. PrestaShop itself cannot tell other services when something changes, so between two reads the agent may quote a price or a stock level that is no longer true. The free **Unifunl instant updates** module closes that gap: your store tells Unifunl about each change as it happens, and the change reaches Unifunl within seconds.

The module works on every PrestaShop version from 1.7 to 9.

## Before you start

- Your PrestaShop store is already connected in **Settings**, then **Integrations**. See [Store integrations](https://support.unifunl.io/en/help/channels-integrations/store-integrations).
- You can install modules in your PrestaShop back office.
- To copy the connection code, you are an owner or an admin of the Unifunl organization. A member can download the module but must ask an owner or admin for the code.

## Turn on instant updates

In Unifunl, open **Settings**, then **Integrations**, and click **Connection details** on the PrestaShop card. The **Instant updates** section lists five steps.

1. **Download the module.** Click **Download unifunl.zip**. It is one file for every PrestaShop version.
2. **Upload it to PrestaShop.** In your PrestaShop back office, open **Modules**, then **Module Manager**, click **Upload a module** and drop the file you downloaded.
3. **Open its settings.** When PrestaShop says the module is installed, click **Configure**. Later, you will find it in Module Manager as **Unifunl instant updates**.
4. **Paste your connection code.** Back in Unifunl, click **Show my connection code**, then **Copy code**. In PrestaShop, paste it into the **Connection code** box and click **Connect**.
5. **Check that it works.** PrestaShop shows "Connected. Unifunl received the test event". In Unifunl, the status turns **On** within seconds, without reloading the page.

> **Good to know** — the code is shown partly hidden on purpose: it lets your store sign its messages to Unifunl. Do not share it. If it was shared by mistake, click **Replace code** and paste the new one in the module.

## What the module sends

- A product created, edited, enabled, disabled or deleted.
- A combination (size, colour…) added, edited or deleted.
- Every stock change, including sales and cancellations.
- Status changes of the orders Unifunl created in your store.
- Tracking numbers of the orders Unifunl created in your store.

It sends ids, stock quantities, order states and tracking numbers. It never sends customer details, and it never imports the orders your own shop takes. Each message is signed with your store's own key, and Unifunl refuses any message that is not.

## What changes in Unifunl

- **Products:** Unifunl re-reads the product, with all its combinations, a few seconds after you save it. A disabled or deleted product stops being offered by the agent.
- **Stock:** the new quantity is applied at once, so the agent stops selling a sold-out size right away.
- **Orders:** the status and the tracking number of an order Unifunl created follow what you set in PrestaShop.

Unifunl still reads your whole catalogue on a schedule, as a safety net: once a day while the module is in contact, every 6 hours otherwise.

## The status in Unifunl

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Off** | No connection code was created yet. |
| **Waiting for the module** | A code exists, but the module has not used it yet. |
| **On** | The module was in contact within the last day. The section shows the last contact, the last change received and the module and PrestaShop versions. |
| **Not responding** | No contact for over a day. |

When a newer version of the module is available, the section says so. Download it and upload it in Module Manager, as in steps 1 and 2.

## Optional: cron task

The module sends each change right after it happens. If a send fails, it keeps the change and sends it again on the next visit to your shop. It also checks in with Unifunl once an hour while your shop gets visits.

If your shop gets few visits, ask your host to call the **cron** address shown on the module's page every 5 minutes. It sends whatever is waiting, even when nobody visits the shop.

## FAQ and troubleshooting

### The status stays on "Waiting for the module"

Open the module in PrestaShop and click **Send a test event**. The message that appears says what went wrong.

### PrestaShop says Unifunl did not accept the connection code

The code was replaced, or the store was disconnected and connected again. Copy the code from step 4 again and paste it in the module.

### PrestaShop says the server clock is wrong

Unifunl refuses messages whose time is more than 5 minutes off. Ask your host to synchronise the server clock.

### Stock updates arrive, but product details do not

Unifunl re-reads a product through your PrestaShop Webservice. If your store is behind Cloudflare, add the Skip rule for `/api` described in the connect dialog's guide. Stock, order status and tracking arrive even without it, because the module sends them from your server.

### Changes made by another tool never arrive

Tools that write straight into the database (some ERP and stock-sync modules, SQL imports) skip PrestaShop's events, so the module never hears about them. Unifunl's scheduled read still picks those changes up, at least once a day.

### I import thousands of products at once

The module notices a bulk change and asks Unifunl for one full read of your catalogue instead of thousands of single updates. It starts within 15 minutes.

### My store has several shops (multistore)

The module sends the changes of the shop whose address matches the store you connected in Unifunl. Changes made for all shops at once are included.

## Turn it off

Click **Disconnect** on the module's page in PrestaShop, or uninstall it in **Module Manager**. Disconnecting the store from Unifunl also stops it: its messages are refused from then on.
