The web widget puts live chat on your own site. Visitors start a conversation, get instant AI answers, and convert into leads that land in the same [inbox](https://support.unifunl.io/en/help/inbox/using-the-inbox) as every other channel.

## Add the widget

1. Open **Settings**, then **Channels**.
2. Find the **Web Widget** card and click **Configure**.
3. Turn the switch on.
4. Copy the script and paste it into your site's code.

You need access to your site's code for the last step. On most platforms the script goes in the site-wide footer or a custom-code block, so it loads on every page.

> **Good to know** — a visitor who chats through the widget becomes a contact in [Leads](https://support.unifunl.io/en/help/leads-automations/leads-crm), scored the same way as someone who wrote on WhatsApp or Instagram.

## FAQ and troubleshooting

### The widget is not showing on my site

Check that the switch is on in the channel catalogue, and that the script is present on the page you are testing. If your site caches pages, clear the cache after pasting the script.

### Do widget conversations use the same agent?

Yes. The agent, its personality and its policies are the same across every channel. There is nothing separate to configure.

### Can I use the widget without connecting a store?

Yes, but the agent will not be able to quote prices or check stock. Connect a store first if you sell products — see [Store integrations](https://support.unifunl.io/en/help/channels-integrations/store-integrations).
