Broadcasts send a campaign to a group of leads on WhatsApp. It is the most powerful tool on the platform, and the one that calls for the most care.

## Before you start

> **Two prerequisites** — your **WhatsApp Business account must be connected** in Settings, Channels, and **the payment needed to enable WhatsApp campaigns must be configured**. Without both, the campaign wizard will not let you past the first step.

## Step 1 — Choose a campaign type

![Step 1: Product Offer, General Promo and Custom Template.](https://support.unifunl.io/help/screenshots/35-campaign-types.jpg)

| Type | What it does | Use it for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Product Offer** | Sends a targeted offer on a product with an automatic discount, and a two-click checkout through WhatsApp Flow. | Selling a specific product. The recommended format. |
| **General Promo** | A promotional message with a link button to your store or a landing page. | General or seasonal promotions, sales, a new collection. |
| **Custom Template** | Uses one of your pre-approved WhatsApp templates, with its variables. | Bespoke communications and specific announcements. |

> **Which type to choose** — **Product Offer** is the best option from a customer-experience point of view, and the one that should return the most, because the customer orders without leaving WhatsApp.

## Step 2 — Details and discount

![Step 2: name, language, product, discount and how it is applied.](https://support.unifunl.io/help/screenshots/36-campaign-details.jpg)

| Field | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Campaign name | Your internal name, used to find the campaign in the list and its statistics. |
| Language | The language of the template sent. The template must exist and be approved in that language. |
| Product | The product being promoted, chosen from your synced catalogue. |
| Discount | The discount, as a percentage or a fixed amount. |
| Applied as | Coupon code or Direct discount. |

A **coupon code** is configured and applied through your store, such as WooCommerce, and the customer enters or receives a code. A **direct discount** is configured in Unifunl and applied to the displayed price at checkout.

> **Both give the customer exactly the same result** — only the configuration method differs. Choose the coupon code if you want the discount tracked and managed in your store, the direct discount if you want to move fast.

## Step 3 — Choose the audience

This is the step that decides whether the campaign works. Unifunl does not ask you for a list of numbers; it works out who is most likely to buy.

### The probability score

The audience is built from a probability score that identifies the leads most likely to buy. The score takes into account their purchase history, the products mentioned in their previous conversations, their engagement with past campaigns, and the time since their last order.

### Filters

Use **Filters** when you want to target manually — **by city**, to reach a specific area such as Tunis, Sousse or Sfax, or **by tag**, to reach a segment such as *vip*, *prospect*, *loyal* or *wholesale*. Those tags come from the [contact record](https://support.unifunl.io/en/help/inbox/using-the-inbox).

### Refine

**Refine** gives you full control. Letting the AI set the ideal minimum score is recommended, but you can adjust three criteria:

| Criterion | Effect |
| --- | --- |
| Maximum audience size | Caps the number of recipients, or no limit. Useful for staying under your daily WhatsApp cap. |
| Minimum score | A 0 to 100 slider. Higher means a smaller but better-qualified audience. |
| Do not contact again within (days) | Excludes contacts already messaged recently. Your best anti-spam protection. |

> **Can I target the whole base?** Technically you can drop the minimum score to 0 and remove the size cap. It is not recommended: you spend your daily WhatsApp allowance on contacts unlikely to buy, and you raise the risk of being reported, which degrades the quality rating of your WhatsApp account.

## Step 4 — Review and launch

Re-read the type, the message, the discount and the audience, then launch. **Save draft** keeps the campaign as a draft at any point before sending.

> **The campaign does not go out instantly** — it launches as soon as WhatsApp has approved it. Approval usually takes 15 to 20 minutes once the Business account is active.

## Read the results

![Campaign statistics: recipients, delivered, read, converted, sent, failures, replies.](https://support.unifunl.io/help/screenshots/37-campaign-results.jpg)

| Indicator | What it measures |
| --- | --- |
| Total recipients | The number of contacts the campaign targeted. |
| Sent / Delivered | Messages that left, then actually arrived on the customer's phone. |
| Failed | The message could not be sent. Most common cause: the number is not on WhatsApp. |
| Read | Messages opened by the customer. |
| Replied | Customers who answered — the start of a conversation the agent takes over. |
| Converted | Customers who placed an order following the campaign. |

![Delivery funnel, success and failure split, and the key rates.](https://support.unifunl.io/help/screenshots/38-campaign-charts.jpg)

The delivery funnel runs Sent, Delivered, Read, Replied, Converted, alongside the delivery split and the key rates: delivery, open, engagement and conversion.

Campaign statuses are **Draft** (never sent, still editable), **Completed** (finished, results consolidated) and **Paused**.

## FAQ and troubleshooting

### What does "failed" mean in the statistics?

The message could not be sent. The usual cause is that the number is not associated with WhatsApp.

### Can I import a CSV of numbers?

Not yet. For now you can enter numbers separated by commas. Direct CSV import is planned.

### My campaign has not gone out

It launches once WhatsApp approves it, typically 15 to 20 minutes after submission if the Business account is active. Check the campaign status first.

### Which campaign type performs best?

**Product Offer**, because the customer can complete the purchase inside WhatsApp rather than being sent elsewhere.

## What's next?

Campaigns need a connected WhatsApp Business account.
